How to correctly save edited .dds files? (Discussion)

there is a reason for auto geo ban. example. if your making a texture. most amateur texture maker or editer cant balance or make the "alpha" on the texture still the same as it is. you need to make a texture that is the same balance alpha as the original. if you cant make it, the same as the original, then you will be auto geo ban.

1 question... how do you save .dds files after you open them in photoshop?
I want to save them correctly, but it's hard (There are many options)
I would be greatful if you could guide me through this because I'm working on a new PvP-World interface in-game <3

And I'm sorry if this took you alot of efforts, but I'd like to ask if the settings you saved the .dds armor files with..
- Should I save all .dds files with the exact same settings? I want to edit the interface .dds files (Buttons/window etc) and maybe the loading wallpaper at startup :P

yap same settings. well here is a screen shut just to be sure.

when opening a .dds file, follow this settings
the box saids use the default size must be check coz if you choose other sizes, it will not much to the original size. it will cost an error.



when saving a .dds file, follow this settings
the formatD3D/DDS must be selected and the box that saids alpha channels must be selected so that you will have the same original alpha on your texture.



the correct setting for the photoshop so that your .dds file will not lose the alpha
